Lexter Panphonics United Spaces
United Spaces 2000square metre sound design.

Lexter has created a unique conceptual sound design solution for United Spaces at their new address in the Waterfront Building in Stockholm. United Spaces is a modern workspace were companies sit together in an open space, 2000square metre office solution.
Our task has been to create a sound environment that is pleasant, reduces stress and aligns itself with United Spaces brand identity. As we developed the sound concept, there were several things to take into consideration. The installations had to be sophisticated in order to synergize with the architectural concept and not to interfere in the environment. We have used directional speakers in all public areas. When walking from a desk into a different area in United Spaces the corridors are set with 64 Audio Elements that create a directional sound ambience.
We have worked throughout with natural atmospheres like the forest, shore and meadow.
The lounge areas with screens showing news channels or TED seminars are also set with directional speakers. This means that there is a choice whether or not to sit in a sound zone or a quiet one. Lexter has also designed and constructed a directional sound arena.
It is a conference, debate room in an open space where talks and conferences to be held without interfering with people not participating in that particular event. Lexter has not only delivered the technical equipment for United Spaces, as important as the choice of directional speakers is the content, which is part of the concept as a whole. The project was initiated with a study of the company values, the actual space and also how people behave. See more on United Spaces.

The speakers, the U-turn arounds, that are used in the installation are not
